Module Objectives
This module introduces the practice of culturally responsive teaching and supports teachers as they learn the effective mindsets and practices to use in the classroom. Estimated time to complete: 45-60 minutes
This module is related to NEE Indicator 2.6b
At the end of this module, participants will be able to manage time, space, transitions and activities so that:

Engage students in authentic communal work allowing all to have a role and contribute

Involve students in utilizing culturally responsive strategies

Facilitate students' reflection on and questioning of situations using several lenses/perspectives
-
Treat all impartially and with respect leading students to do so as well
-
Establish classroom rituals and routines to support socially safe cultural learning

Seek input from all students to identify their needs

Create a classroom environment where students frequently use strategies as independent learners
