Classroom Management and Motivation

Module Objectives

The activities in this module will guide the teacher through the research on motivation and feedback and will suggest strategies to increase student motivation in the classroom. Estimated time to complete 75-100 minutes.

This module is related to NEE Indicator 5.2, 5.2b

At the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss research findings concerning motivation

  2. Identify how feedback can affect motivation

  3. Identify strategies to use in the classroom to increase student motivation

  4. Identify factors that can contribute to lowered motivation

  5. Select strategies to reinvigorate teaching when in a slump
