Developing Lessons for Diverse Learners

The activities in this module provide information and suggestions to help teachers develop lessons for their students. The focus is twofold: meeting the cognitive needs of all students and using materials and strategies that meet students' diverse needs. Estimated Time to Complete: 30-45 Minutes.

At the end of this module, participants will be able to:

1. Explain why it is important to design lessons that will meet diverse student needs

2. Describe the advantages of creating lesson plans that use varied learning materials and activities

3. List some strategies that allow lessons to help more students succeed academically
