Module Objectives
Instructional coaches work with administrators and teachers to increase teacher effectiveness in the school. Although the role of an instructional coach may differ greatly from one school to another, coaches often work with the administrators, teachers or both to:

gather and analyze student data

establish goals for instructional change

locate and conduct professional learning sessions
-
conduct coaching cycles with teachers to promote professional growth

provide in-classroom support in the form of modeling or co-teaching

establish a culture of ongoing professional learning and improvement

participate in collaborative partnerships and leadership teams to support goals

maintain records and prepare reports
-
pursue personal professional goals in order to support building goals
