Module Objectives
This module introduces problem solving and critical thinking and supports teachers in making both a regular part of classroom learning. Estimated time to complete: 45-60 minutes
This module is related to NEE Indicator 4.1.
At the end of this module, participants will be able to:

select and use instructional strategies that require students to reason, problem-solve, and think critically

model critical thinking and the steps necessary to problem-solve for students

allow students to problem-solve independently instead of providing step-by-step instructions

implement learning experiences that allow students to apply disciplinary knowledge to real-world problems

require students to explain or justify their thinking, problem-solve, formulate questions, predict, be creative or make informed decisions
