Brainstorming with Technology

Module Objectives

Brainstorming activities can be enhanced or the brainstorming process can be transformed when technology is used to facilitate the activity. This module explores various methods and tools teachers can use to enhance or transform brainstorming activities with technology in the classroom. Estimated time to complete: 40­-60 minutes.

This module is related to NEE Indicator 4.2b

At the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify when brainstorming strategies might be used in the classroom

  2. Identify benefits and challenges for using brainstorming strategies with students

  3. Determine how technology might be integrated into a brainstorming activity to enhance the activity or transform the activity

  4. Select digital tools to use for a classroom brainstorming activity

  5. Set­up guidelines to use with students during brainstorming activities
