Multimedia with Technology

Module Objectives

Supporting teaching and learning with multimedia materials has long been accepted as a strategy to enhance learning. Technology allows users to more efficiently access and use multimedia materials. This module examines how using multimedia with technology can support teaching and learning, and provides an overview of the types of multimedia tools that might be used in the classroom. Estimated time to complete: 30-45 minutes.

This module is related to NEE Indicator 4.2b

At the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  1. Consider the importance and benefits of using multimedia materials to support or enhance teaching and learning

  2. Examine best practices for selecting and using digital multimedia materials to support learning

  3. Review and select multimedia applications to locate and develop materials for use in the classroom
