Introduction to Response to Intervention (RTI)

Module Objectives

Many school districts have embraced the Response to Intervention process to aid in the early identification of struggling students and as a means of meeting their needs. This module provides a description of the system and offers research findings on current reading and math interventions. Estimated Time to Complete: 45-60 Minutes.

This module is related to NEE Indicator 2.1, 3.3

At the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  1. Define response to intervention

  2. Describe the response to intervention process

  3. Identify the recommended practices for a successful RTI program

  4. Utilize the research findings presented to select interventions that will be effective for students
