Introduction to Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

Module Objectives

Universal Design for Learning or UDL is an educational framework based on research in the learning sciences. The framework guides the development of flexible learning environments that can accommodate individual learning differences. Estimated Time to Complete: 30-45 Minutes.

This module is related to NEE Indicator 2.1, 3.3

At the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  1. Define UDL

  2. Describe the principles of UDL

  3. Evaluate curriculum in order to add options that provide accessible learning for all students

  4. Conduct instructional planning using the UDL principles and guidelines
