Several factors combine to create the effective use of technology to support learning. This module explores the factors and offers strategies to achieve effective technology in the classroom. Estimated time to complete: 90-120 minutes.

At the end of this module, participants will be able to:

Identify effective technology uses to support and assess meaningful student learning

Identify appropriate teaching and learning technology resources and plan for their integration into specific academic disciplines

Analyze and evaluate technology tools for use to engage students in critical thinking and inquiry

Identify resources and plan instruction in a specific grade level or academic discipline to ensure responsible and appropriate use of the Internet by students

Plan for curating and sharing digital resources with students, parents and colleagues

Create plans to integrate technology into classroom learning experiences at the appropriate thinking level or depth of knowledge

Use technology to support standards-based lessons
