Standard 8: The teacher develops professional practices

In the teacher professional development plan, the teacher clearly provides strong evidence of multiple sources of data used to identify professional development goals. The teacher also provides evidence on change in practice and its effects on student learning.

In the teacher professional development plan, the teacher articulates a sequence of activities to achieve professional development goal(s). The teacher explicitly cites research to inform and justify professional development content, activities or process. Professional development decisions explicitly build upon prior professional development.

This indicator is currently not evaluated through the NEE Classroom Observation, Unit of Instruction, Teacher Professional Development Plan or Student Survey.
